CSR Generation: Cobalt RaQ based Servers

Generating a Certificate Signing Request (CSR) on Cobalt RaQ based Servers

This guide is intended to show you how to generate a CSR (Certificate Signing Request) for Cobalt RaQ servers. This covers the RaQ 4, XTR and 550 devices.

Enabling SSL on the site

  1. Go to the 'Server Management' screen.


  2. Click the green icon [wrench for RaQ, pencil for XTR] next to the virtual site on which you want to enable SSL. The 'Site Management' screen appears.


  3. Click 'Site Settings' on the left side. [Then 'General' for XTR]


  4. Click the check box next to 'Enable SSL'.


  5. Click 'Save Changes'.


  6. The RaQ saves the configuration of the virtual site.


Generate the CSR and Temporary Certificate
  1. Go to the 'Server Management' screen.


  2. Click the green icon [wrench for RaQ, pencil for XTR] next to the virtual site on which you want to enable SSL. The 'Site Management' screen appears.


  3. Click 'Site Settings' on the left side. [Then 'General' for XTR]


  4. The 'Certificate Subject Information' table appears. Enter your information. [Enter the two-letter ISO country code for your country (e.g. United States is 'US').]


  5. Select 'Generate self-signed certificate' from the pull-down menu at the bottom.


  6. Click 'Save Changes'.


  7. Now you can cut and paste the CSR into the application form on the website. The CSR is the section labeled 'Certificate Request'. Enter it into the web enrollment form when requested.
